3D Diagnostic Imaging Plc is a holding company whose wholly owned subsidiary, CarieScan Limited (together the "Group"), has acquired certain rights for the use of ACIST (Alternating Current Impedance Spectroscopy Technique) to identify the characteristics and measure the integrity of an object or system. The first commercial product based on this technology is a hand-held device for the early detection and monitoring of dental caries (tooth decay). This fully certified device (the Cariescan Pro) is considered to be more accurate and cost effective than any comparable product on the market today, and will be sold into dental practices both in the UK and abroad.
