Parry People Movers Ltd is a supplier of lightweight rail vehicles. PPM railcars now operate over 200 passenger service journeys each weekday on the Stourbridge Town branch line of the British national rail system, having been specified in the London Midland franchise and financed by Porterbrook Leasing.

Estimated operating costs of the enhanced service are halved compared to the previous 'heavy rail' operation, and carbon dioxide emissions cut by around three-quarters.

The company's products are suited to both domestic and export markets, for both railway branch line and urban tramway applications. The concept is highly flexible and can be tailored to customer requirements for vehicle size, passenger environment, track gauge and power source while retaining the benefits of the core flywheel energy storage technology combined with lightweight construction.

Lightweight rail enables higher quality public transport systems to be implemented at lower cost and with less environmental impact than other modes.

The company was formed in 1991 to develop transport technology originated by its founding shareholder JPM Parry & Associates Ltd, a West Midlands engineering firm.
